Halake Jaldessa Liban
Halake Jaldessa Liban is a first-year master’s student in environmental sociology. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2020 from Istanbul University in Türkiye.
Halake’s primary research interests lie at the intersection of indigenous knowledge and environmental sociology, with a specific focus on how Indigenous Peoples utilize their traditional knowledge and methods to adapt to the impacts of climate change. His research aims to explore the potential for integrating indigenous knowledge with scientific approaches to develop possible solutions to minimize the effects of climate change.
