Shaylee Hodges

Shaylee Hodges is a second year MA student in the Sociology program with a concentration in Environmental Sociology. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Radford University with a concentration in Applied Sociology. She focuses her research on the obfuscation of environmental harm, how institutions create their identities in relation to the environment, and environmental justice organizing. As an Appalachian, she has a particular interest in focusing her work on environmental justice in Appalachia. Shaylee is a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Sociology at UTK.
