Lexi Debusk

Lexi (she/her) is a first-year MA Student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in child and family studies. Her primary concentration is critical race and ethnic studies. Lexi is currently interested in research revolving around Intersectionality to demonstrate how race, class, gender, and other social identities play a vital role in the lives of certain racialized groups. She is also interested in research that pertains to children of minorities and the varying factors that impact the children’s lives. Other interests include: abolition, critical carceral studies, juvenile justice, racial disparities, and transformative justice.

In addition to studying Sociology, Lexi likes to read and travel. Lexi is also very involved in photography and is constantly taking pictures.
