Francesca (Fran-she/her) is a first-year MA student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration on inequalities in race, class, and gender at UTK in the spring of 2023. Fran is currently studying applied sociology, a newer program offered at UTK. Her subjects of interest include inequalities, civil and social rights, and modern society. She enjoys qualitative research, specifically being out in the field. She is currently working alongside Dr. Kim as a TA for his Sociology 120 classes. As she continues her journey in the Sociology Department, Fran hopes to gain exceptional knowledge and experience from her superiors and peers as she moves forward.

In addition to studying sociology, Fran enjoys cooking, baking, evening walks, and spending time with her Holland Lop rabbit, Binky.
